Man overboard

Life isn’t turning out the way you expected; it’s just a grind. You keep solving problems, but they seem to multiply. So then, what’s the use? Nothing changes. Avoidance or numbing feels good at first, but the suffering always creeps back.

Are you frustrated with a job you find meaningless? Maybe you have your career figured out, but closeness with another person eludes you.

In your marriage or with your partner, the water under the bridge has turned to sludge, pleasurable sex is a distant memory, and nagging has turned to contempt. Whenever they bring up a sore subject, you’re a professional at either giving the cold shoulder or bringing the full defensive line onto the field.

Finding a lasting fix

Many men think they should be able to fix it on their own and tend to avoid seeking help with a therapist. It doesn’t mean you are broken to admit you need some help finding your way forward.

We will help keep the focus on you and help you clean up your side of the street. We are all about Less Talk and More Action.

Using groundbreaking tools and techniques that take a lot of the talking out of therapy, we help your mind become more flexible and unchain you from past sticky emotions.

Clear the lawn and find the path

Many adult men in this age of unclear male roles are struggling. Getting right with yourself is the first step.

Stop slogging through your life. With help, you can clear the fog out of your head and blow the leaves off your lawn, so you can see how badly it needs cutting.

When the grass is maintained, it is easier to walk without getting bogged down. When you have a clear path through the leaves, you can experience purpose and excitement – and begin living a fulfilled life.

Start where you are, and we will assist you to get where you want to go.

Being a woman – not always easy

You had grand dreams, but now that seems like a long-ago fantasy. The many challenges of everyday life have taken a toll, and now you are exhausted.

You may feel like you have totally lost yourself somewhere along the way. Or the ghosts of your past keep coming back to haunt you.

Perhaps you are feeling critical of your spouse/partner and wonder if that relationship is holding you back. However, being confident and whole as an individual is necessary to have a satisfying intimate relationship.

Finding yourself as a woman

We can help you sort out your priorities, find your voice, and believe in yourself.

Through a combination of approaches, we help you release the negative messages from the past that keep you stuck in a rut. Your inner superhero is still in there – help her take flight!

Veterans – longing for the person you were before deployment

It seems like your body is against you or has a mind of its own.

As you scan your current environment, breathing and pulse quicken from threats, such as barking dogs, idiot boss, or cars backfiring.

Sleep eludes you, and your thoughts race or nightmares keep sleep away. You can’t keep guilt at bay.

Anger flares without warning. Often, it creates havoc in your life. You find yourself isolating or avoiding things that trigger memories.

Maybe you seek relief with alcohol, drugs, sex, or overworking. Divorced already or on the way to losing your partner? Have you had more than 5 jobs in the last 5 years?

Finding a rewarding assignment

Your next mission is to accept and move beyond the past – for yourself and those you love.

Our practice

In our office, we offer psychotherapy and neurofeedback/biofeedback to individual adults.

When he was younger, Hayes was an Army Reservist and recently worked for four years as a Military Family Life Counselor, supporting active duty military members and their families.

While he sometimes does not agree with what our central government tells our troops to do, he supports the individuals and families, who chose to join the military.

He feels called to help veterans (and active duty) move beyond the issues and the PTSD that they acquired during service to our country.

Please call (828) 338-3200 or email us (fulfilledlifelpc@gmail.com) to learn how we can help you move forward.
